Zoox Experience Programme
What is the Zoox Experience Programme?
We know how difficult it is to start a career in marine conservation. You NEED a balance of skills, knowledge and experience. Unfortunately, many job roles require proven experience, but you can't get experience without getting a job! It's a vicious circle that we at Zoox are aiming to break with the Zoox Experience Programme (ZEP). This is our flagship programme designed to offer selected individuals the unique opportunity to blend on the job experience with professional training in marine conservation.
The programme consists of an eight (8) week placement, starting with two weeks training in Negros Oriental, Philippines on our unique marine conservation modules. This is followed by six (6) weeks ‘on the job’ grass roots experience in one of the project locations with Green Fins, a United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) initiative. Each volunteer will also be assigned a personal conservation project that will enable them to develop specific skills or experiences they need for their future career path. Throughout the placement, we guide our volunteers through their professional development, culminating in a one-to-one feedback session helping you identify your next steps. Details of past personal projects can be found on our ZEP Alumni page. Prices and upcoming placements can be found here.
